The Old Mill Creamery
If you’re looking for a truly unique ice cream experience, look no further than The Old Milld Creamery. This creamery is located in an old grist mill that was built in the early 1800s. It’s one of the most popular places to get ice cream in Pigeon Forge, and for good reason.
They offer a wide range of flavors, including some unique ones like Biscuits n Honey and Oat Mill Cream Pie. They also have all of your classic favorites like Chocolate and Vanilla, and you can get it all served up in a house-made waffle cone or bowl.
Be sure to try our favorite flavor – banana pudding!
Famous for: their homemade premium ice cream served in house-made waffle cones, or used in milk shakes or sundaes
Location: 171 Old Mill Ave #3515, Pigeon Forge
Recommendations: This old-fashioned ice cream parlor serves unique flavors – we love the flavors influence by the Old Mill Candy Kitchen and the Old FOrge Distillery, such as Salted Caramel Candy and Whiskey Ribbon Ice Cream.
Rita’s is one of our family’s favorite ice cream places to visit in Pigeon Forge. This great place offers a wide variety of frozen custard flavors, as well as Italian ice. You can also get your ice cream made into a milkshake or float.
Frozen custard at Rita’s can be served creamy (like soft serve) or hand-scooped with a flavor variety that rotates. We really love the Peppermint Bark around the holidays and the Banana Cream Pie in the warmer months. The rich custard has a wonderful texture and their rotating menu of delicious flavors is always sure to please. (You can always get the traditional flavors year round).
Famous for: Italian ice and frozen custard
Location: 3152 US 441 Parkway Pine Mountain Shopping Center, Suite 1A, Pigeon Forge
Recommendations: Take a peek at their season flavors, and we have yet to try an Italian ice we didn’t like!
Mad Dog’s Creamery and Donuts
One of the finest locations to get ice cream in Pigeon Forge is Mad Dog’s Creamery. They have over 24 different options, including Yellow Brick Road and Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake, which are unique. You may also discover all of your favorite classic flavors like Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry here as well.
Aside from ice cream, they also sell donuts. Try the apple fritters, yeast donuts, filled donuts, and cake donuts – there’s a Donut for everyone!
You can even get a special dessert for your furry friend – that’s right, doggie treats are sold here, too!
They also have a location in downtown Gatlinburg.

Buzzed Bull Creamery
With a name like Buzzed Bull, you know this place is going to be good. They offer handcrafted ice cream made with real milk and cream and your choice of alcohol from their specialty menu.
That’s right – alcoholic ice cream!
Their menu changes frequently, but some of our favorite ice cream flavors include the Strawberry Shortcake (with cake vodka), the Banana Split (with cherry vodka), and the Buzzed Bull Margarita (with tequila).
Of course there are nonalcoholic options, too, which are equally delicous!

Recommendations: I love the Banana Split and my hubs is a big fan of Orange Creamsicle.
Curl de la Creme
Curl de la Creme is the first of its kind in the area – it offers rolled ice cream! This thin sheet allows the ice cream to be added to some one of a kind creations.
Their most popular items are the waffle taco, waffle bowl and Krazy Kremewich, a donut sandwich with ice cream.
Famous for: their unique ice cream creations, which allow one mix in, one of the ice cream base flavors and up to three toppings of your choice (or more for an extra charge)
Location: 2656 Parkway #6, Pigeon Forge
Recommendations: The banana nutella waffle taco is ah-mazing!

If you’re looking for some good old-fashioned ice cream, look no further than Apple Valley Creamery. They have all of your classic ice cream flavors and treats such as banana splits, malts and shakes, but they also have items such as cobbler and a variety of baked goods.
The Apple Valley Creamery is part of the Apple Barn Village, which includes two restaurants, shops and an apple orchard. It’s a very unique place that is worth a visit.
Now, technically this creamery is in Sevierville, barely outside Pigeon Forge, but it made the list because it’s just so good and you can’t really tell where Pigeon Forge ends and Sevierville begins!
