If you’re looking for a family-friendly destination in the Great Smoky Mountains, look no further than Lumberjack Square in Pigeon Forge. The shopping center has something for everyone, from lumberjacks to lumberjills and their families. There are lots of shops to visit such as Birkenstock Place, The Coal Miner’s, and The Dugout – just to name a few!

Plus there is the outdoor show “The Lumberjack Feud” where two lumberjack families will duel it out in 13 events and see who is the best lumberjack or lumberjill on Earth! You can also catch a movie at the Forge Cinema with all movies only $5 or climb the ropes course at Lumberjack Adventure Park. Of course there are amazing eats here, too, like Five Guys, Smoky Mountain Brewery and Calhoun’s.

No Smoky Mountain vacation would be complete without a stop here, so today we will look at each of the shops, eats and activities at Lumberjack Square so you can easily plan your trip.

Things to Do

1. Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud

This 90-minute show is one of the Pigeon Forge attractions you shouldn’t miss! If you’ve ever seen the Lumberjack Games on TV you have an idea of what this show is like.

At Paula Deens Lumberjack Feud two feuding lumberjack families battle each other in over 13 events to determine who is the greatest.

You’ll watch the following events:

Boom Run

Axe Throwing

Log Roll

Speed Climb

Double Buck

Spring Board Chop

And more!

This isn’t a dinner show, but you are welcome to bring food in. This show runs year-round rain or shine.

You can also participate in the show and there is even a special kid’s event during intermission! The stands are climate controlled and the show runs in any weather, so be sure to check it out.

2. The Forge Cinema

If you’re looking for a place to see a movie while you’re in the Great Smoky Mountains, be sure to stop by the Forge Cinema.

All movies are just $5 (plua tax). All seats, ALL the shows! State-of-the-Art Cinema with all digital projection, 3D, stadium seating, surround sound, concessions for all your favorite snacks & more!

3. Lumberjack Adventure Park

Want some adventure on your Smoky Mountain vacation? You don’t even have to leave Pigeon Forge to get it!

Find four unique areas of lumberjack-themed adventures:

-The Flying Ox

The first-of-its-kind zipline adventure – a roller coaster with a zipline that sends you on an exciting ride around Lumberjack Square.

-Loggersports

Participate in your own lumberjack games, including the Boom Run, Log Roll, and Speed Climb. You don’t have to worry about falling into the pool during these events – you wear a harness.

-High Woodsman Challenge

Ages 5 and up will enjoy a lumberjack-themed Smoky Mountain adventure park with challenges for all ages. You are safely linked to the course on the top level at all times, but the middle level is completely netted.

-Timber Towers

Jump from one of the 80 ft towers on 4 controlled jump elements – it might make your stomach drop!

5. Trapped Escape Game

Ever wanted to try one of the escape games that’s storming the nation? This is an interactive experience your whole family can enjoy together, althought it’s definitely more for the older kids.

Hours: 10:40AM-10:40PM Daily

Famous for: The interactive escape game experience. You can choose from one of five rooms and even book a private experience if desired.

Places to Shop

1. Birkenstock Place

Birkenstock Place is the best place to get comfortable footwear for your feet. These shoes are designed around the human foot and they don’t cater to any fads. Most people love the comfort Birkenstocks provide.

Look for this store under the clock tower.

Famous For: Birkenstock sandals, clogs, sneakers and boots as well as slip-ons for the whole family.

2. Coal Miner’s Daughter Mercantile

This is a newer store in the Lumberjack Square and it features items from more than 40 small businesses! So if you want to support local business, you have got to check out this shop.

Hours: Closed Tuesdays, 11AM-7PM Mon-Thur, 11AM-8PM Fri-Sat, 1-5PM Sun

Famous for: Apparel, jewelry, watches, stickers, local organic soap and a whole lot more – all from vendors with amazing wares.

3. The Dugout

The Dugout is a great place to find sports-related items and collectibles. If you’re a fan of sports, you’ll love this store.

Five Guys

If you’re looking for a great casual place to eat, look no further than Five Guys. This restaurant offers an amazing selection of food that will please everyone in your family.
