- Signature RV Sites: These sites come with additional amenities such as a hot tub, fireplace, outdoor TV, and a stainless grill.
- Glamping Tents: These tents can sleep between 1 to 6 people and come with cable & internet, full bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and more. Some of these tents are also pet-friendly.
- Tiny Home Cabins: These cabins can sleep between 2 to 6 people and come with a kitchen, full bedroom, modern bathroom, cable, Wi-Fi, and more.

Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains is a luxury camping experience located near Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The camp is set on 182 acres of lush, wooded terrain, near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
It offers safari-inspired accommodations and has been recognized as a ‘Best Resort in the South’ by Travel + Leisure and a ‘Top 20 Resort in the U.S. – South’ by Condé Nast Traveler for multiple years.
The camp offers a variety of amenities including upscale, organic bath products in ensuite bathrooms, on-site dining with a menu that embraces seasonality and locally sourced produce, nightly fires with complimentary s’mores, live music, morning yoga, kids activities, and more. The tents are furnished with West Elm furnishings and come with USB outlets for charging devices.
The accommodations include a variety of tents such as the Suite, Stargazer, and Deluxe, all featuring king-size beds with plush linens, private bathrooms with hot showers, wood-burning stoves, and private decks with outdoor lounge chairs. The Suite and Stargazer also include a lounge area with a queen-size sofa-bed.
One thing we love is the options with kids tent – the Suite sleeps four and there is the option of a kid’s tent that sleeps 2 more… perfect for our family of 6!
The camp offers a seasonal and locally sourced menu, complimentary s’mores, a selection of wines, beers, and canned cocktails, grab n go options for those heading out for a day of adventures, and al fresco dining with lush green views of the Smoky Mountains.

Pigeon Forge Jellystone
Pigeon Forge Jellystone is one of the most unique places to stay near Dollywood. This resort offers a couple of tent glamping options plus a regular campground for tents and rv’s. You can also enjoy amenities like a swimming pool, hot tub, and fire pit.
- Two-Person Tents: These tents come with a king-size bed.
- Five-Person Tents: These tents come with a queen bed and a bunk bed that has a full bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top.
All of the Jellystone Park Glamping Tents can sleep up to 4 people and are equipped with electricity, heat, and air conditioning. They also come with beds with linens, a coffee pot, and have toilets and water very close by. A golf cart is included with the reservation for added convenience.
The resort also offers a range of on-site amenities such as two swimming pools, additional shower facilities, a pizza shop, a fully stocked gift shop, a fenced-in dog park, and a fishing pond fully stocked with fish.
Please note that while some cabins and camp sites at Jellystone Park are pet-friendly, the Glamping Tents are not.

We love to stay at Cove Mountain tiny homes off Wears Valley Road. It’s a quiet area with several tiny homes/cabins. All sleep at least 4 and we’ve stayed at several that sleep 6. The boys really love ones with a loft!

To ensure a good night’s sleep, bring comfortable bedding and pillows. While most glamping accommodations provide linens, it’s always a good idea to bring your own for added comfort. We love memory foam pillows and will often bring our own, but some places on our list here are so posh you don’t need to!
Additionally, don’t forget to pack bath towels for your stay.
When driving to your glamping destination, be aware of the winding mountain roads and take precautions if you are not used to driving on them.
It’s also a good idea to bring a map or GPS device as cell phone service can be spotty in the mountainous areas.
