October is one of our favorite months to visit the Smoky Mountains and really is a special time of year. We always visit nearby Pigeon Forge and check out Dollywood’s Harvest Festival. It’s a wonderful fall festival with craftsmen, decor, great food and more. It’s a great way to enjoy the cooler temperatures at night as the pumpkin luminaries light up the night.
